(Posted on 27/07/15)Utilities Connections Management Ltd (UCML), a leading independent utility infrastructure consultancy, has achieved ISO 9001:2008 for its quality management systems. Commercial Director, Kathryn Lloyd said, “The achievement of ISO 9001:2008 is one we are particularly proud of as it demonstrates our commitment to providing the highest level of service to our clients, and assures them that we have a completely transparent and robust quality management process. It also confirms the dedication and hard work of all employees to continuously improve our business processes so our clients are receiving the best service.” ISO 9001:2008 is an international standard that gives requirements for an organisation’s quality management system and focuses on continuous improvement, customer satisfaction and the active involvement of both management and employees in a process based approach. UCML were able to demonstrate a very good level of staff and management involvement and commitment to ensuring the quality system is effective and capable of ensuring client requirements and expectations are met/exceeded. Last year UCML celebrated 10 years in business, followed by relocation to larger premises in Wrexham. The move formed part of UCML’s strategy of planned business expansion and its commitment to their North Wales roots.
