In 2014 UCML were involved in a substantial commercial development in Catterick, North Yorkshire. The now complete development off Richmond Road includes major retail units, a seven-screen cinema, cafes, restaurants, bars, a 60-bed hotel and 350 parking spaces!
UCML procured competitive quotations for the scheme and as a result this provided the client with significant savings. UCML negated the need for an extra high voltage 33kv diversion through protecting the cable instead. Reinforcement was also required for a 11kv network for the vast capacity of the development, however UCML helped reduce the cost of this work.
UCML also coordinated trial holes in order to establish the locality and depth of utilities on site. As the town is a military garrison, UCML had to negotiate with the relevant authorities throughout the project in regards to privately owned land and utility networks. If you're interested in saving utility connection costs, do not hesitate to get in touch with UCML - no scheme is too big for us.
