UCML were asked to coordinate and project manage electricity, gas, water and telecom supplies for a mixed-use development in Warrington. Harrison Square consists of 24 residential dwellings as well as 2 retail units. The impressive scheme has just been shortlisted for a North West Building Excellence Award.
Upon review of the site, UCML worked on a desktop report for the client. The report highlighted that existing supplies ran through the site which would affect the development. UCML suggested that trial excavations were undertaken to locate and confirm the affected utilities within the site boundary. A report of the findings was conducted and from this UCML were able to advise the client what the best course of action was.
Before construction could begin, existing retail buildings needed to be demolished to make way for the new scheme. UCML coordinated the disconnection of the retail units to enable safe demolition. Following this phase, UCML then progressed to obtain competitive quotations for the client and project managed the installation of new electricity, gas, water and telecom connections to the new builds.
