Cadley Park, Swadlincote, South Derbyshire UCML were appointed for their services on a large residential development in South Derbyshire. Cadley Park is an impressive scheme built over 3 adjoining sites, known as A, B and C. The sites are serviced by a spine road which connects the whole scheme. The development in its entirety plans to compromise of up to 600 new dwellings, a golf course, commercial and leisure units, and a 50-acre country park. Two of the sites have already been sold to housing developers with construction soon to begin. UCML’s work involved coordinating and managing the utility connections to all three of the adjoining sites. UCML’s work involved bringing capacity to the site for the third-party developers, due to its remote location and size. UCML also coordinated major diversions associated with Section 278 works to accommodate the construction of a new roundabout access. UCML liaised with a network operator and the third-party developer in regards to an electricity substation and gas PRS positions. UCML’s work also involved coordinating the installation of these and acting as the clients agent.
