46,000 New Homes, Braintree and Colchester

UCML produced a utility report for a massive 46,000 dwellings in Braintree and Colchester, Essex. The development was in its master planning stage and required UCML’s input on constraints and capacity to allow this to be factored into the design and planning. The report covered diversions, disconnections and connections for electricity, gas, water and telecoms. The report also included sections on the use and management of residential P.V. generation, battery storage and electric vehicle charging. Other innovative ideas were included in the report which detailed alternative heating solutions, potential payback methods, potential revenue streams, heat and electricity network ownership. Our Technical Team worked on the report with our Technical Director overseeing the works. We visited the customer to present the findings and another report was issued from the meeting. UCML are able to help with budget costs and foresee potential site constraints such as diversions or disconnections through delivering a bespoke utility report. A utility report can also help clients establish a clearer indicative of site-specific capacity requirements. Utility reports are useful tools in understanding more about a potential site and can save clients thousands of pounds if the site proves to be unfeasible. UCML offer varying levels of reports, tailored to suit individual requirements.
